Fall Burlap Plant Stake

Looking for a cheap and easy Fall craft?
Well look no further,
because here's a fun way to add some character to your outdoor decorations this season!

You will need:

2 Burlap Squares [I cut mine 9x9]
Acrylic Paint
Foam Brush
Scissors
Glue Gun
Dowel [At least 24" tall]
Acrylic Sealer

Directions:

Start by tracing your idea onto the burlap

Paint.
I like to give it a few good coats, so you can't see any of the natural burlap color showing through.
If you do this, as it dries it will naturally harden making cutting it out so much easier to do.

I made several others while I was waiting for it to dry.

Once it is dry, cut both the front and back pieces out to match.

Then hot glue around the outside of the pumpkin and attach the front piece to the back.
Make sure to leave a small section open on the bottom for the plastic bag and dowel.

Stuff the plastic bag into the pumpkin for added dimension, and hot glue the dowel into place.

I then chose to add some detailing with puffy paint, raffia, and fall accents.

After I finished everything, I sprayed the entire thing with 3 coats of Acrylic Sealer to weather-proof it.

And all done!

How cute would these be with a Welcome sign, monogram, or family name?
Hope this weather has inspired you to knock some things off the Fall bucket list!
